Since Text Edit Plus is meant to be an alternative to Microsoft’s Notepad, let’s quickly compare the two, shall we? Once you’re done with that and you launch Text Edit Plus for the first time, you’ll have to enter your email address to start using this plain text editor.

Here’s one more thing that Text Edit Plus has in common with Notepad: a simple interface that’s very easy to figure out. The main panel displays the text you’re working on, at the top there’s File Menu and a toolbar with buttons for various features & functions.
